A good place to start
Give housing a named owner, a clear brief and a contingency for timing. YEB is a strong fit when you want personal employee support and a property-search network alongside your existing HR and immigration arrangements.
CBS’s June 2026 release reports work-related arrivals across EU/EFTA and non-EU/EFTA groups. This covers all labour migration, not only corporate transfers or YEB’s target market.

International hiring creates a practical housing task
CBS’s migration figures show that people continue to move to the Netherlands for work. The figure spans occupations and employment arrangements. It is context for international hiring, not a forecast of housing demand or a claim about employee retention.
An employee may be arriving alone, moving with children or joining a partner already here. A useful housing brief comes from that person’s circumstances. Treat the household as part of the relocation conversation rather than an afterthought.
Experience with employers and their international teams
Our corporate page identifies business partners including PGGM, ING and TK Elevator. The page also describes support for North Sea’s international team. We understand how a housing search fits around an international hire’s start date.
Our website separately shows companies our clients work for, including Nike, IMC Trading and Capgemini. These include people arranging their own move as well as employer-supported relocations. Across our work, we have helped 1,400 expats.
What the housing assignment can cover
Our housing service covers the search, application preparation, viewings, proposals, lease explanation and key handover. We work through public opportunities and our network of agents, landlords and investors. Video viewings can help employees who are still abroad.
Agree the contact points, update expectations and which additional services are included. Separate the housing assignment from immigration, payroll, tax advice and shipping. If another provider already covers those tasks, make the division of responsibilities explicit.
A better handover from HR to the housing team
Confirm the employee’s arrival and start dates, temporary housing end date, search region and employer contribution. Identify who approves additional costs and which information HR needs to receive. Share only the employee information required for the agreed process.
Build a contingency for the search taking longer than expected. No agency can guarantee a suitable property by a particular date. Agree how the employee and employer will discuss next steps if the housing plan needs to change.
Portals for your team and your employee
If HR integrations, expense dashboards and international programme oversight are key requirements, read our Settly comparison. If you need a broader bundle of relocation services, our Jimble comparison can help structure the shortlist.
YEB has a portal for HR teams, a partner portal and a client portal. Your employee receives home matches in the client portal and tells us which ones they like. We request viewings and use a WhatsApp group for daily contact. Our team can show you the portals and discuss individual hires or recurring housing needs.

Common questions
Can you help a single international hire?
Yes. Our corporate service supports individual hires as well as broader employer needs. Discuss the household and location so we can agree a suitable assignment.
Can you guarantee housing before the employee starts?
No. We can plan around the date, but availability and landlord decisions still matter. A temporary-accommodation contingency should be part of the arrival plan.
Do you provide an HR relocation platform?
Yes. YEB has a portal for HR teams, a partner portal and a client portal, alongside personal housing support. Ask us for a walkthrough and tell us about any specific integration or reporting requirements so we can confirm what fits.
What information should HR provide at the start?
Provide the employee’s arrival and work start dates, temporary-housing end date, search region and employer contribution. Identify the approval contact and share the employee information needed for the agreed housing process.
How does the employee take part in choosing a home?
The employee receives home matches in the client portal and tells us which ones they like. We request viewings and use a WhatsApp group for daily contact, while agreeing separately what updates HR needs.
Can you work alongside our existing immigration or relocation provider?
Yes. Agree the division of responsibilities so the housing search fits alongside the services already arranged. Immigration, payroll, tax advice and shipping should have their own responsible contacts and confirmed scope.
Can the housing brief include an employee’s partner and children?
Yes. Include everyone who will live in the home, their arrival dates and practical needs such as bedrooms, commutes and school locations to investigate. Housing availability and any school or childcare arrangements must be checked separately.
Sources & approach
These guides use published migration and education data to identify real audience groups. They describe situations we can discuss, not individual client stories. National arrival counts, student populations and permit-holder counts are different measures and should not be added together.
YEB’s figure of 1,400 expats helped is company-reported as of September 2026. Service details and statistics were reviewed on 15 September 2026; source years are stated where relevant.
